All anyone in Portland can talk about when it comes to the Trail Blazers is their defense. The team is, at press time, last in the NBA in defensive efficiency and struggling mightily because of it. Although part of this can be attributed to the loss of Al-Farouq Aminu due to injury, fans have been calling for President of Basketball Operations Neil Olshey to make a trade early in the season.
This week’s video Q & A session goes over just how hard that might be for the Blazers given their roster makeup, injuries, performance, and contract obstacles.
I also answered questions from folks on Twitter regarding:
- Evan Turner’s place in Blazers fandom vs. Raymond Felton.
- How good a combo of Allen Crabbe and Moe Harkless in one player would be.

If you want to have your question answered, you can do so in the comment section below, on Twitter, or on Facebook.
I am also taking inquiries about some of the play breakdowns you would like to see now that we have a significant portion of the season to use as video reference. Anything outside the defense (please!) that you’d be curious to hear me diagram on the Blazers? Drop me a line in the comment section.
EDIT: Video originally said Allen Crabbe cannot be traded this season. He can be traded on Jan. 15 due to his RFA offer under Full Bird rights, having signed his offer sheet in July.
