Happy Thanksgiving to all Blazer’s Edge Readers! the season hasn’t exactly gone according to plan so far but every one of us here at Blazer’s Edge is thankful for the opportunity to talk it over with you every day anyway. You are the reason we do what we do. Thank you for being part of this community.
I also want to extend a heartfelt thanks to all the people who write, produce audio and video, and work on our associated social media. It’s a joy to do this with you. Blazer’s Edge is wonderful because of your contributions.
Feel free to list all the things you’re thankful for in the comments, especially the Blazers-related ones. For now, we leave you this holiday with this:
A Blazers Blessing
May your joys be as prolific as a late-game scoring spree.
May your sorrows be as rare a turnover.
May you find your worries as shallow and easy to dismiss as Portland’s bench
and your dreams as wide as the holes in their defense.
May the universe bestow blessings like personal fouls
but defend you from harm like the Blazers defend threes.
May your relationships be as sweet as a Damian Lillard overtime triple,
fear and danger as far from you as Meyers Leonard from a barber.
May the path before you be as steady as Ed Davis,
your destiny as sure as CJ McCollum from midrange,
your days as exciting as a Noah Vonleh dunk attempt.
Most of all may the hope of each tomorrow shine bright
as the game goes on.
Happy Thanksgiving, all!
(And while you’re at it, why not help underprivileged kids see a Blazers game in March? Here’s how!)
