The Portland Trail Blazers and Sacramento Kings tip off in a surprisingly-important early-season game. The Kings will surely want to show that they’re good enough to beat Portland on the road, and the Blazers want to restore some dignity after their butt-whupping in Los Angeles Wednesday Night. One advantage for the Blazers: The Kings played at home last night, and traveled to Portland afterward.

Al-Farouq Aminu is out for the Blazers with an strained left calf. Before the game, Terry Stotts said Aminu will be out for at least a couple weeks. For the Kings, Anthony Tolliver has been on the injured list, but played last night.

Did you know that old-school country singer Lynn Anderson is from Sacramento? I had no idea. Here she is singing a country classic, “(I Never Promised You A) Rose Garden”.

But a whole new generation accidentally learned her music when they went to a dance club in the ‘90s, after Messiah released “Temple of Dreams”, sampling Anderson’s vocals from “Rose Garden”, along with a few moments from the movie Running Man.

1. No videos or pictures please, including embedded stuff from Twitter.

2. No discussion of streams that aren't sanctioned by the NBA, or how to work around broadcast/streaming rules.
