According to Primera Hora, a Puerto Rican newspaper, Harkless is flying home today to be evaluated by Blazers team doctors. The injury is described as "mild."
Harkless, 22, was traded to the Blazers in early July via the Orlando Magic for a heavily-protected future second-round pick and is expected to compete for playing time at backup small forward this fall. Puerto Rico was scheduled to begin play in the FIBA Americas tournament next Monday.
No timetable has been released for Harkless' return to the court.
