After more than two months without any form of Portland Trail Blazers basketball, the Blazers will take the court against the Boston Celtics on Saturday, July 11 at 5:00 pm to kick off their 2015 NBA Summer League schedule. In preparation, Portland announced its Summer League roster yesterday, which also marked the beginning of the team's Summer League mini-camp. Here are some updates coming from the Blazers' first couple days of practice:
Meyers Leonard, despite being included on the roster, will not be suiting up for the Summer League, per the Oregonian's Mike Richman. Leonard will still practice with the team, however.
Trail Blazers coach Dale Osbourne said Meyers Leonard won't play in summer league. He'll just be with the team to practice.

Blazers newcomer Noah Vonleh suffered a mild ankle injury at practice today, and his status for the rest of the week remains to be determined, according to the Oregonian's Joe Freeman.
Noah Vonleh rolled his left ankle during #Blazers' summer league practice. Undergoing treatment right now. Status for tomorrow unknown.

While Keith Bogans is far from a lock to make the Blazers' 2015-16 roster, he is already earning high praise and support from the Portland media.
Pretty sure if you asked media members, they'd say they want #Blazers to sign Keith Bogans. Really good quote.

Although Damian Lillard's Summer League days are long behind him, the Blazers' newly crowned franchise player set an example by making an appearance at today's practice.

Lastly, from the look of this nasty rim-rocker, Meyers Leonard seems to be taking his reverse Allen Iverson approach to the NBA Summer League pretty seriously.
