Damian Lillard is planning to travel to Los Angeles in an effort to persuade teammate LaMarcus Aldridge to re-sign with the Portland Trail Blazers, per Sam Amick of USA Today. In an article detailing Aldridge's upcoming second meeting with the Los Angeles Lakers, Amick stated the following:
There's yet another wrinkle, too, the agent for Portland Trailblazers point guard Damian Lillard, Aaron Goodwin, told USA TODAY Sports that his client is planning an impromptu visit to Los Angeles to try and convince his former teammate to stay.
Lillard, who finalized a five-year extension worth between $125 and $129 million on Thursday, just returned from a promotional trip in Paris. The relationship between those two players has been a focal point of Aldridge's possible departure from Portland, but Lillard is determined to send a clear message that theirs is a powerful pairing that should not come to an end.
CSNNW.com's Jabari Young is also reporting that Lillard would like to have a face-to-face conversation with Aldridge before the Blazers' forward potentially chooses to bolt for another team in free agency.
Told Lillard wants Aldridge to hear from him directly before making a decision on his future....he wants him back in Portland #Blazers

Amick also tweeted out that Lillard does not intend to waste any time getting to Los Angeles.

When Lillard returns home from Southern California, let's just hope he brings LaMarcus Aldridge along with him.
