In case you missed it earlier, shooting guard Arron Afflalo is on his way to join the New York Knicks on a 2-year $16 million contract, according to the New York Times and NBCSports.com.
Afflalo was acquired by Portland at last season's trade deadline along with Alonzo Gee for Thomas Robinson, Will Barton, Victor Claver, and a lottery-protected 2016 1st-round pick. He struggled in Portland, averaging 10.6 points and 3.0 rebounds per game before missing five of the final eight games of the Blazers season with a shoulder injury. Over his career with the Orlando Magic, Denver Nuggets, and Detroit Pistons, he has averaged 11.4 points per game.
