Adrian Wojnarowski of YahooSports is reporting that the Oklahoma City Thunder have informed the Portland Trail Blazers that they will match Portland's offer to restricted free agent Enes Kanter.

The Blazers offered the reserve center a 4-year, $70 million deal on Thursday. The Thunder had 3 days to match. Wojnarowski goes on to explain the implications for Oklahoma City.
For Thunder, this was an easy decision. OKC offered Kanter in $62M-range, and always planned for possibility of a max offer sheet.

As salary cap rises in 2016-'17, Kanter contract won't cause Thunder to be a luxury tax team -- even if Kevin Durant signed new deal.

Thunder takes tax hit this season, but they've been under tax for years. Ownership simply has to deal with it. Huge stakes with KD this year
