The destination remaining unknown leaves this claim short of finality. But San Antonio clearing cap space by trading Tiago Splitter and the preponderance of Portland's non-Aldridge-friendly moves in the last 7 days, plus the Blazers pushing hard for Detroit free agent forward Greg Monroe, lend credence to the idea that the end of this saga won't be happy for the Trail Blazers.
