Multiple teams are going all out to impress free agent forward LaMarcus Aldridge in an attempt to land one of the top available players on the market.
The Los Angeles Lakers continue their frantic pursuit, with Kobe Bryant joining Lakers president Jeanie Buss and general manager Mitch Kupchak in meeting with Aldridge, according to Sam Amick of USA Today.
According to Chris Broussard of ESPN, James Harden of the Houston Rockets is joining coach Kevin McHale, general manager Daryl Morey, and Executive Vice President Gersson Rosas in a meeting with Aldridge in Houston.
The presence of both shooting guards is significant, as pundits speculate that playing alongside each could become a source of friction for Aldridge, who is accustomed to being the #1 option in the offense.
Aldridge is coming off one of his best statistical seasons of his career in leading the Portland Trail Blazers to a division title, and is expected to command a maximum contract.

And Sam Amick reports that the Lakers and Aldridge are done with their interview.
The free agency dialogue between Goran Dragic and the Miami Heat, I'm told, will continue in the morning. That's all for now on that front.
