ESPN Marc Stein tweeted out a link to video of Wesley Matthews working out as he recovers from last season's Achilles injury.
The author, Gameshape Inc, is a professional training outfit working with "training and injury prevention", led by a former strength and conditioning coach with the Los Angeles Clippers organization.
The timing of the recovery video, conjoined with the opening of free agency, is likely not accidental.
Matthews injured his Achilles on March 5th, 2015 in a game against the Dallas Mavericks. The injury caused him to miss the rest of the season. He is now an unrestricted free agent and is reportedly seeking a $15 million per year contract.
Matthews has played in the NBA 6 seasons, 5 with the Trail Blazers, with a career average of 14.3 ppg off of 44.3% shooting from the field, 39.3% from the three-point arc.
