Erik Gundersen of the Columbian is reporting that LaMarcus Aldridge has informed the Portland Trail Blazers that he will not return to the team next season.
A Western Conference executive with knowledge of the Aldridge pursuit has told The Columbian that the free-agent has already informed the Blazers that he will not return to the Northwest.
This follows reports from ESPN that Aldridge is 99.9% sure to leave.
Aldridge has played 9 seasons with the Trail Blazers after being drafted 2nd overall in the 2006 NBA Draft. He holds career averages of 19.4 points and 8.4 rebounds per game.
Update: This from Jake Fischer of SI:
Just talked w/ CJ McCollum, asked him about LaMarcus Aldridge status. "It'll be very interesting. We'll have to see." Didn't seem confident.
