Video: Wesley Matthews Returns to the Court Without Boot

Portland Trail Blazers guard Wesley Matthews sent out video of him taking shots without crutches or a boot following his rehab from a season-ended Achilles injury.

Wesley Matthews sent out a few seconds of video on Instagram this evening, but they're heartening seconds for his supporters and anyone hoping he'll return to the Portland Trail Blazers next fall.

Matthews went down with an Achilles injury during the Trail Blazers' March 5th game versus the Dallas Mavericks. He missed the remainder of the season and is his return to the court is supposedly months away yet. He is an unrestricted free agent this summer but the Blazers hold his Bird Rights and have more flexibility to sign him than any other team in the league.

Matthews averaged 16 points per game in 34 minutes over 60 appearances for the Blazers this season.
