A website called Uni Watch has published photos of Christmas Day uniform designs for all 30 NBA teams in preparation for next season's slate of games. 10 teams played on Christmas Day, 2014. We don't know how many games will be scheduled for the holiday next season but if the Portland Trail Blazers are on the docket, they'll apparently be wearing something like this:
Most of the designs involve some sort of cream color and fancy font. According to UniWatch, this is meant to resemble parchment and Christmas card script. They also add this tidbit:
There will supposedly be "glazed sugar ornamental shiny surfaces" on the fabric and trim. I have no idea what that's going to entail, but let's beat the rush and start making fun of it now.
Hmmm... "Glazed Sugar" sounds like a fine nickname for CJ McCollum.
Maybe the uniforms will look great in the aggregate, setting a theme for the day. I'm a bit of a purist, though. To me they look a bit plain and uninspired and the cream does nothing for me. What say you? If the Blazers play on Christmas Day will you be proud to see them sporting these? Will you run out and buy one?
