Lewis Johnson of TNT Broadcasting reported during tonight's Portland Trail Blazers-Memphis Grizzlies game that Trail Blazers shooting guard Arron Afflalo was vowing to play in Game 3 of the series on Saturday Night. Afflalo has been sidelined with a shoulder strain and did not dress for either of Portland's first two games in Memphis, both of which the Blazers lost.
Mike Richman of the Oregonian confirms:
Arron Afflalo says he'll play "Saturday for sure" said he's getting more comfortable but just wasn't ready for high intensity contact

CJ McCollum started at shooting guard in Afflalo's absence in Game 1, scoring 2 points in 37 minutes. Allen Crabbe started in Game 2 tonight, putting up 3 points in 23 minutes.
Afflalo averaged 11 points in 30 minutes per game for the Blazers this season.
