Blazer's Edge Sends Over 1000 Underprivileged Kids to Game

New, comments

Congratulations, Blazer's Edge Readers, you did it!

We are pleased to announce that Blazer's Edge Night, 2015 is officially ready to go!

Thanks to the generosity of this site's readers, 1151 underprivileged youth, kids, and their chaperons will be attending the March 30th Portland Trail Blazers-Phoenix Suns game. That's well over our original goal of 1000, amounting to every ticket the Blazers could scrape up for us at this price range. We bought them all and every one will go to someone who otherwise would not have had the chance to attend.

This is such a huge deal, not just for us, but in the lives of young people around the Pacific Northwest. We've already had many requests for tickets and more will follow. Because of you, we'll be able to tell those people, "YES," bringing smiles to hundreds and hundreds of faces.

On behalf of the young folks who will go and on behalf of everyone who works to make this event possible, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. This community is exemplary. Its impact is as well.

Congratulations, everyone!

Because of the overflow tickets bought by generous readers we have openings available. If you work with underprivileged youth or children and would like to attend, e-mail me at blazersub@gmail.com
