In a semi-stunning turn of events--if you ignore the drunken tomfoolery coming out of Philly lately, that is--the Philadelphia 76'ers have apparently claimed former Trail Blazer forward Thomas Robinson off of waivers.
The 76ers have placed a claim on Thomas Robinson, league sources tell Yahoo Sports. He'll belong to Philadelphia at 5 PM ET.

You may recall that earlier reports had Robinson headed to the Brooklyn Nets after he cleared waivers and could sign with any team. The Sixers aren't letting him get that far. They'll agree to pick up his $3.2 million salary in order to bring him into the fold.
The move comes on the heels of last week's trade that sent loose-cannon center JaVale McGee from Denver to Philadelphia. The difference between the Sixers' game plan on paper and actual court execution is going to be wide enough to drive a truck and two continents through.
