Video: Meyers Leonard Leaves Game With Ankle Sprain

Trail Blazers starting power forward, Meyers Leonard, did not return to the game after sustaining an ankle injury against the Utah Jazz.

Meyers Leonard sprained his right ankle in the final minute of the first quarter against the Utah Jazz on Wednesday night. The injury occurred when he landed on the foot of Trevor Booker in the process of making a 19-foot jumper behind the right elbow. He was able to limp up the court before intentionally fouling Trey Burke so that a substitution could be made.

Leonard did not return to the game. Ed Davis started the second half in his stead. Leonard’s status moving forward is unclear at this time.
