The Blazer's Edge Podcast is on the air! Co-host Phil Naessens and I are back in the groove, following a tough act last week as new podcast hosts Jo and Tara played our gig. You'll be hearing more of Jo and Tara soon, but this week Phil and I keep the seats warm for them by talking about one of the more important topics of the season: how well will Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum co-exist in Portland's backcourt? Both are great guys, both can score. Do they fit together on either end of the floor? Can both flourish to their maximum capacity when they're paired together?
We also discuss our surprises and disappointments from the first week of the season, the absence of Chris Kaman, Grantland closing down, and Blazer's Edge Night 2016.
Speaking of, we're trying to send 2000 underprivileged young folks and their chaperons to the Blazers-Kings game on March 28th and we need your help. It's easy to do. Tickets are automatically donated when you purchase them through this link:
http://www.rosequarter.com/blazersedge
Promo Code: BLAZERSEDGE
Ticket Costs range through three levels: $7, $9, and $13 (There is a $5 processing fee per order.)
You can also call our ticket rep, Lisa Swan, directly at 503-963-3966 if you'd like to order that way. You will need to indicate to her that you are donating the tickets you order to Blazer's Edge Night.
These kids wouldn't be able to see a Blazers game live otherwise. We love telling teachers and coaches, principals and counselors that their kids can go. If you love the podcast, why not help make that possible by donating a ticket? If you hate the podcast, why not donate four? That'll show us!
