Jimmy Butler Fined For Technical, Wants Mason Plumlee To Pay It

Butler and Plumlee had an on-court spat after the two of them collided on Tuesday night. Now Butler wants Plumlee to pay the fine he incurred.

Following the Blazers' 93-88 loss to the Bulls last night, Chicago guard Jimmy Butler had plenty to say about his fourth-quarter skirmish with Portland center Mason Plumlee that resulted in a technical foul for Butler and a flagrant one on Plumlee. The All-Star guard wants Plumlee to pay his $2,500 fine issued to all players upon receiving a technical.

Here is the play in question:

Butler's comments after the game, per the Chicago Sun-Times' Joe Cowley.

"Basketball, emotions, that's part of the game. Yeah, he cost me $2,500. I'm going to ask him to pay me back, and I'm not playing. I'm going to ask, nicely. Yeah, I'm going to get that. I'm going to tell my agent to e-mail or something. I know it's like MisterDukie@yahoo.com or something."

Butler's recently signed five-year, $95 million contract should be more than enough to cover the relatively insignificant fine.
