After missing the Portland Trail Blazers' season opener amidst reports that he may need knee surgery, Cliff Alexander has returned to individual workouts and the team will monitor the injured left knee closely.

Joe Freeman of The Oregonian reports that Alexander tore cartilage in his knee.

Statement from Alexander per Jason Quick of CSNNW:
"I can continue to play on it, but if it gets swollen again, or if it starts feeling pain again, I might need surgery,’’ Alexander said. "So, I’m just waiting. I feel good right now.’’
Alexander remains on the inactive list for tonight's game in Phoenix.
