Trail Blazers training camp signee Cliff Alexander returned to on-court activity today after missing two weeks with a bone bruise that he sustained in practice on October 3. Per Casey Holdahl, Alexander is still not ready for game action. It is unlikely that he will be in rotation when the Blazers host the Utah Jazz this Sunday, but this is a positive step.

Alexander has yet to participate in a single preseason game due to the injury. His chances of making the team diminish with each absence, though his incredible athleticism may yet be enough to impress if he can get back to full strength before Portland’s preseason ends on October 22.
