Veterans of the Rose Quarter will be in for a surprise come opening night. The $16 million remodel announced last March is underway and the media got their first tour of the space yesterday. Casey Holdahl gives us a glimpse of the tour with mock ups of the final spaces and pictures of the current state of the remodel.
Improvements include the renovation of club-level seating and concessions, a remodeling of 21 suites, and a new 300-level bar with views of downtown. This mixture of improvements reflects the Blazers' commitment to ensuring the remodel effects fans at every level.
All renovations should be completed by the start of the season. Check-out Oregonlive's coverage for a more extensive photo gallery.
Chris McGowan and the Blazers have emphasized the importance of fan feedback and did extensive surveys to inform these improvements. Are these the types of improvements you would like to see? Discuss in the comments below.
