Team USA Beats Serbia For FIBA World Cup Championship

Team USA led for most of the game for an easy victory.

UPDATE: Team USA defeated Serbia 129-92 to win the FIBA World Cup. Despite early foul trouble, the US had no problems pulling away. Kyrie Irving scored 26 and James Harden 23, with the rest of the scoring divided evenly amongst most of the team. Derrick Rose was irrelevant again.

The Portland Trail Blazers' Nicolas Batum was named to the FIBA All-World-Cup Team after the game, along with Kyrie Irving, Pau Gasol, Kenneth Faried, and Milos Teodosic. Irving was named FIBA MVP.


FIBA's World Cup Tournament finally comes to a conclusion today as Team USA takes on the surprising team from Serbia, with the winner taking the gold medal.
