Nicolas Batum scored 27 points with 3 rebounds and 3 steals, and the San Antonio Spurs' Boris Diaw added 15 points and 4 assists, and Team France beat Lithuania for their first FIBA Bronze Medal.
The teams were locked in a close game all night, with Lithuania leading by 7 after three quarters. However, France made a fourth quarter run, holding off Lithuania in the final minutes for a big victory.
Due to the FIBA Tournament, Batum (along with Spain's Victor Claver) has not yet joined the Lillard and Aldridge-led pre-camp workouts in Portland. Robin Lopez and Wesley Matthews are also absent due to an NBA-sponsored tour of the Philippines. The Blazers' Training Camp official opens on September 30, with their annual Media Day the day prior.
The United States and Serbia will play tomorrow for the FIBA Championship, airing on ESPN2 at Noon PDT.
