Team USA 105, Dominican Republic 62

Team USA takes on the Dominican Republic this afternoon in preparation for the FIBA Basketball World Cup. Talk about the action here!

UPDATE: Team USA easily beat the Dominican Republic, 105-62. Lillard played more minutes than the previous game, but did not stand out. He had various glue-guy type moments, and hit a three-pointer late, but was not a significant factor overall. In the first half, he had two turnovers that led to opponent dunks. Lillard scored 7 points. No cuts are expected to be announced before Friday, but Lillard is likely on the bubble.  -- Tim

Recap

★★★

Damian Lillard and the rest of Team USA take on the Dominican Republic at 4:00 p.m. Pacific today. The game will be televised by NBATV.

Lillard didn't see much playing time against Brazil. The national squad remains 3 cuts away from their final roster. This game may give an indication about whether Brazil was a blip on the radar or a sign of impending doom for Portland's prize point guard.

Discuss here as the proceedings unfold. General Gameday Thread rules apply:

1. No profanity.

2. Limit the use of pics and gifs as they slow down the thread. (Not a huge problem in the off-season, but still.)

3. "Yo mama" jokes must be semi-clean, non-discriminatory, not offensive to people of various genders, and unless it's the third Tuesday of the month every fourth one must in a language other than English (still clean, though). We prefer Esperanto but we'll take what we can get.

Enjoy the game!
