[Update: Thomas Robinson suffered a torn ligament in his thumb, and is done for Summer League]
Quickie Recap:
The Blazers dominated the Atlanta Hawks in a rousing performance, featuring buckets of three pointers, and highlight dunks galore. As their lead passed 20 in the third quarter, Thomas Robinson left the game with an injury, and Atlanta made a run to close the gap. But the Blazers quickly regained control and easily put the Hawks away. The bench crews were rewarded with minutes in the fourth quarter, making the final score look closer than the game itself. The Blazers hit a three near the buzzer to win the quarter, and gain 7 points overall (winning three quarters and game).
Both Robinson (8 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists, 5 steals, 0 turnovers before leaving in the third) and CJ McCollum (28 points on 6-9 from three) had electrifying performances, and Will Barton (17 points, 4 assists, 2 steals) stayed active all night after a hot first quarter. Joel Freeland and Allen Crabbe played background roles.
Meyers Leonard played in his first 2014 Summer League game. He had a few dunks and hit a three to tally 7 points, but his only other notable statistic was his 7 fouls in 20 minutes.
