Last Friday Timmay floated the question about LaMarcus Aldridge's status as one of the 10 greatest Trail Blazers of all time. I want to take it a step further today.
Coming off of a career year and a magnificent performance against the Houston Rockets in the playoffs, Aldridge's stock is higher than it's ever been league-wide. Rating him against the entire league--not just against fellow power forwards as is more commonly done--where would you rank Aldridge among current NBA players? As of June 14, 2014 which players would you place above him and why?
Note that we're not necessarily talking players you'd rather have join the Blazers in place of Aldridge. You may rank Carmelo Anthony higher than LaMarcus in the abstract but recoil at the idea of actually having him on your team. Anthony would still be listed here.
Have at it in the comment section. I'm curious to see how much consensus can be built from the lists presented.
