Yes, there was a rattlesnake curled up and waiting in Thomas Robinson's locker tonight. There will be more about this story later. Portland Trail Blazers Head Coach Terry Stotts said, "They said it was a rattlesnake. It was maybe three or four feet. It was a young one. ... I'm not an expert. ... It's a Texas thing. It's bizarre to have a venomous snake in your locker room. I don't know if it's happened before. That sounds like an ABA story. We survived."
UPDATE: The Spurs state it was not a rattlesnake, which I'm sure makes two-hours-ago Thomas Robinson feel much better:
Spurs spokesman said the snake in visitor's locker room was not a rattler. Whatever it was, removed without incident.

Robinson sat in his locker, saw something curled up in the corner, did a double take, realized it was a rattler, jumped about 20 feet

Welcome to the Gameday Open Thread at Blazer’s Edge! This is a place to hang out and enjoy tonight’s festivities with your fellow fans. Treat it as if you’re watching a game at the local watering hole, but hopefully without the language. Expect some disagreements, and a fair amount of changing emotions. But we'll get through it together.
