LaMarcus Aldridge scored 43 points tonight as the Portland Trail Blazers defeated the Houston Rockets to leap into a 2-0 series lead. After winning two straight games on the road, the Blazers head home to play the next two in front of a Portland crowd, eager to see the team's go for their first second-round appearance in the NBA playoffs since the year 2000, the longest streak among non-expansion franchises.

Beyond the MVP-caliber night from LaMarcus Aldridge, who added 8 rebounds to his 43 points, Damian Lillard added 18 points, 11 assists and 8 rebounds, Dorell Wright contributed 15 points on 3-4 three-pointers, and Mo Williams scored 13 points. After a rough first game, the Blazer bench came up huge on a night when they were needed to make a push against a surging Rockets team.
