Troy Taormina-USA TODAY Sports

The Portland Trail Blazers are a 40/1 shot to win the 2014 NBA Finals, according to oddsmaking service Bovada.LV.

Portland is tied with the Chicago Bulls for the ninth-best odds among the 16 playoff teams and gives Portland the sixth-best odds among Western Conference teams. Portland is also given 18/1 odds to win the Western Conference.

In case you're curious, the Blazers opened the season as 150/1 odds to win the championship.

Portland's first-round playoff opponent, the Houston Rockets, have 20/1 odds, which puts them sixth overall and fourth among Western Conference teams.

The Miami Heat and San Antonio Spurs -- the 2013 Eastern and Western Conference champions, respectively -- will enter the 2014 Playoffs as the top two title favorites.
