The Portland Trail Blazers announced Tuesday that season ticket holder prices would increase by roughly 5 percent overall for the 2014-15 season.
Not all season ticket holders will incur a price increase, as some fans will see no change in price and others will see their prices decrease. The plan is being communicated to season ticket holders this week and was unveiled by president Chris McGowan during a session with the media on Tuesday.
In a line-item list of seating sections distributed to media members, 18 sections showed increases, eight showed decreases and one showed no change.
Next season, there will be 30 distinct ticket price categories, laid out in the seating chart map below. Click to enlarge the map.

Detailed information on 2014-15 season ticket pricing can be found right here.
Back in December, the Blazers removed roughly 700 seats from the Moda Center.
The Blazers also raised ticket prices last season.
Here's a copy of an email that was sent to season ticket holders this week.
2013-14 has been a fantastic season so far, I hope you're enjoying it as much as I am. As an organization, we've worked to build a franchise on and off the court that you can be proud to support. We want to thank you for being a special part of Rip City and making the atmosphere at the Moda Center electric every night.
You will receive your 2014-15 Season Ticket Renewal and 2014 Playoffs information in the mail later this week. As you review your renewal information, you will notice that we have made several pricing adjustments for the 2014-15 season. These adjustments come after a thorough analysis of the Moda Center, through which we identified that our prices were not always aligned with market demand.
Your current seat location will see a price increase for the 2014-15 season. Rest assured, we don't take price increases lightly and understand the impact they may have on you. Hopefully you will agree that we have found the right balance between the need to raise ticket prices while also providing our Season Ticket Holders with the best price. With nearly 30 different price options beginning as low as $10 per seat/per game, we are confident you will find a price that meets your budget. It's important that you fully understand your options, and can choose what's best for you and how you want to experience Trail Blazers Basketball in 2014-15. If you have questions about anything, please don't hesitate to contact us.
As you consider renewing your commitment to the Trail Blazers and Rip City, we hope you will take into consideration many of the updates we have made this season including an all-new culinary experience, activated Wi-Fi technology in the Moda Center and a commitment to eliminating mass discounts that are below our Season Ticket Holder pricing.
We will also continue, over the next year, to invest back into the arena in ways that make your Moda Center experiences enjoyable and worthy of your ongoing support, including a new restaurant at the Rose Quarter, a new bar on the 300 level and an innovative partnership with Ticketmaster.
Thank you for being the best fans in the league. We admire and appreciate your loyal support. Our future is bright and we look forward to having you along with us on this very exciting journey.
PS Thanks to David Loitz in the FanShots.
