Portland Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge has been named the Western Conference Player of the Week for a 27 point, 12 rebound average in three Trail Blazer wins against the Denver Nuggets, Indiana Pacers, and New York Knicks.

Trail Blazers point guard Damian Lillard won the award for the week ending November 17th, leaving the Blazers and Golden State Warriors (Steph Curry and Klay Thompson) as the only teams with two players of the week so far this season.

More from the official press release:

With 4,896 career rebounds, Aldridge passed both Buck Williams and Mychal Thompson this week for third on Portland's all-time rebounding leger, and is six points from tying Terry Porter for second in all-time scoring (11,330).

This is the seventh NBA Player of the Week honor for Aldridge, who was an NBA All-Star and All-NBA Third Team member last season.
