Erik C. Anderson of the Oregonian caught up with LaNae Lillard, member of the Lakeridge Pacers girls basketball team and sister of Damian Lillard. She looks like she has a future with the varsity squad:
"LaNae's absolutely great," first-year Lakeridge coach Jillian Noe said. "She's really come out and surprised us this year. She's just strong. She has a knack for the ball, knack for the rim. She was really good, long arms so she can get her little touches in. She's pretty quick, pretty quick for a post. She has really provided us a lot with her post-play this season."
She also gets plenty of support from big brother:
"(Damian's) there for me," LaNae said. "He supports me like mentally. If I have a game he texts me like ‘How did you do?' And tells me how I can improve."
