Final: Blazers Play Bench, Lose Throwaway Game To Lakers, 94-86

The Blazers and Lakers played an irrelevant game tonight, as Portland's bench came up short.

Gary A. Vasquez-USA TODAY Sports

Postgame Update: Due to back-to-back games, the Portland Trail Blazers played their bench for most of the night, and they lost to the Los Angeles Lakers minus Kobe Bryant and Steve Nash. CJ McCollum was the leading scorer with 17 points off the bench, and Meyers Leonard hit 3-4 three-pointers for 13 points.

The Blazers are back in action Friday night, their preseason finale against the Los Angeles Clippers. It will be televised nationally on NBA TV.

Injury Update: Steve Blake is still in Portland tonight due to a respiratory illness, and may miss the final two games of preseason. He's expected to be ready for opening night at latest.

The Portland Trail Blazers take on the Los Angeles Lakers in the sixth game of preseason. The bad news is that this game is not being televised by any source available to Portland. The good news is the modification to the rules at the bottom, just for this game.
