Blaze The Trail Cat Buries "Free Chalupa" Coupons In New Blazers Video

Earlier this month, Blazersedge reported that the Portland Trail Blazers and Taco Bell were discontinuing their popular "Free Chalupa" promotion whenenver the Blazers scored 100 points at the Rose Garden.

The Blazers released the following video Thursday in which the team's mascot, Blaze The Trail Cat, "buries" the Free Chalupa coupons outside the "Moda Center" to commemorate the end of the popular promotion.

"We bid you farewell our dear and delicious friend Chalupa," the video's YouTube description reads. "RIP."

The video, which is set to funeral music and includes footage of former Blazers forward Luke Babbitt's legendary Chalupa basket, ends with the words: "R.I.P. Chalupa: 1999-2013."
