Mike Tokito of The Oregonian reports on Twitter that former Portland Trail Blazers forward Darius Miles is unlikely to re-sign with the Blazers.
Darius Miles is still available [if] Blazers need a SF. Not really, but wanted to see if Blazersedge would make a long post out of it.
Tokito wrote Tuesday that the Blazers might consider re-signing unrestricted free agent guard Nolan Smith.
Miles, 31, retired from the NBA in 2009 after playing two-plus seasons with the Blazers from 2004 to 2007. He holds career averages of 10.1 points, 4.9 rebounds and 1.9 assists over seven seasons with the Los Angeles Clippers, Cleveland Cavaliers, Blazers and Memphis Grizzlies. A microfracture knee surgery cut short his time in the NBA.
Miles was arrested in 2011 for trying to bring a loaded gun through airport security.
