Portland Trail Blazers guard Damian Lillard denied any personal role in a late-night incident in May in which two brothers alleged that they were beaten by associates of Lillard.
"It didn't involve me," Lillard told Blazersedge following Las Vegas Summer League practice on Wednesday.
Asked if any of his friends or associates were involved, Lillard repeated: "It didn't involve me."
Asked about the photograph published by KGW that apparently put him at the scene, Lillard refused to answer.
"Next question," he said. "Are there any other questions?"
Lillard was allegedly present at the beating but was not considered a suspect, although one of the men accused the 2013 Rookie of the Year of "instigating" the incident by taking exception to having his picture taken. A Portland Police spokesman said that Lillard cooperated with the police investigation that night.
Lillard had not previously addressed the alleged incident since it unfolded. The Blazers issued the following statement to Pat Dooris of KGW back in May: "We are aware of the alleged incident. Based on preliminary reports, none of our players is considered a suspect in this case."
No charges related to the incident have yet been filed.
