Tom Housenick of the Morning Call reports that Lehigh guard C.J. McCollum will soon work out for the Portland Trail Blazers.
McCollum was asked a variety of questions while in Chicago [for the pre-draft combine] where he met with approximately 15 NBA teams, including Oklahoma City, Cleveland, Orlando, Phoenix, Chicago, Golden State, Toronto, Utah, Detroit and Portland.
Since then, the 6-foot-3, 197-pound combo guard has been to Orlando and Philadelphia for private, individual workouts. Starting Thursday in Phoenix, McCollum will display his skills for six other teams - Phoenix, Sacramento, Portland, Minnesota, Utah and Detroit - before returning to his temporary home away from home (Long Island) on June 20.
Chad Ford of ESPN.com has the Blazers selecting McCollum in his most recent mock draft. Ford also recently included McCollum on a list of three players piquing the Blazers' interest, along with Croatian forward Dario Saric and Georgia guard Kentavious Caldwell-Pope.
