Jason Quick of The Oregonian reports on Twitter that Portland Trail Blazers guard Damian Lillard will be the organization's on-stage representative at the 2013 NBA Draft Lottery.

-----------------------

Rookie of the Year Damian Lillard and GM Neil Olshey will represent the Blazers at the Draft Lottery on May 21. Lillard will be on stage.

-----------------------

Update: The Blazers confirmed the news on Friday.

Chris Haynes of CSNNW.com reported these quotes from Lillard.

"They asked me to go and I was like, 'sure.' It should be fun," Lillard told CSNNW.com. "For me, going to events like that are things I cherish."

"I want to come back with a top three pick," Lillard said. "I don't believe in all that luck stuff and I'm not bringing anything special. I'm just hoping for the best and we'll see where we land."

Blazers guard Wesley Matthews represented the organization in 2012, former president Larry Miller represented the organization in 2008, former guard Brandon Roy represented the organization in 2007, and former president Steve Patterson represented the organization in 2006.

The Blazers finished the 2012-13 season with a 33-49 record, which placed them in the No. 10 slot for the lottery order. The 2013 NBA Draft Lottery drawing will be held on May 21. The 2013 NBA Draft is June 27.

Lillard's been on a bit of a media blitz since winning the 2013 Rookie of the Year Award in a unanimous vote. He visited both NBA TV (here) and TNT's Inside The NBA (here) this week.
