Portland Trail Blazers All-Star forward LaMarcus Aldridge did not practice on Thursday after suffering a right ankle sprain during a 111-93 loss to the Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday night. He was listed as "questionable" on Thursday for a Friday night game against the Utah Jazz. After Friday's shootaround, he was downgraded to "doubtful".
Blazers forward/center J.J. Hickson also did not practice due to illness. He is expected to play.

LaMarcus Aldridge (right ankle sprain) did not practice today. He was at the practice facility receiving treatment. Stotts says the pain is worse today than it was last night. He is questionable versus Utah on Friday night.

Meanwhile, Aldridge's frontcourt partner, center JJ Hickson, did not leave his house this morning as he battled an illness. Hickson is a go tonight
Aldridge played through the ankle injury Wednesday night before being shut down in the fourth quarter. He finished with a team-high 24 points (on 11-for-14 shooting), four rebounds and three assists in 32 minutes.
Aldridge also missed practice earlier this week because of illness.
Update (Friday Pre-Game): Aldridge is out.
