Joe Freeman of The Oregonian reports the reaction from Portland Trail Blazers coach Terry Stotts and LaMarcus Aldridge after the All-Star forward missed a potential game-winning jumper during the closing seconds of a 101-100 loss to the Philadelphia 76ers at the Wells Fargo Center on Monday night.
So why go to Aldridge?
"Because he's our go-to player," Stotts said.
...
"I feel like if we got everybody back out there right now and did it again, I would make it," Aldridge said after the game. "So, no, I'm not losing confidence in myself. And I feel like my teammates, they believe in me, too. So I'm fine. I'm definitely disappointed. But my confidence isn't shook at all."
Aldridge's miss can be seen at the 2:32 mark of this video via YouTube user TheNBASeason.
Aldridge finished with 32 points (on 13-for-28 shooting), 14 rebounds and three assists.
Aldridge laughed off a last-second miss against the Denver Nuggets back in March.
