The Portland Trail Blazers are considering the possibility of designing new home and away jerseys that could be used as soon as the 2015-16 season.

The team's basic home and road jerseys have been used for more than a decade, although red and "Rip City" alternate looks have been mixed in over the last few years.

The current white home jersey has "Blazers" in all caps, slightly offset black script with a series of gray, black and red diagonal stripes below the number.

As part of the jersey design process, the Blazers are seeking fan input on the popularity of the current designs. Fans can take a survey regarding the jersey designs right here.

Blazersedge has obtained this statement concerning the jersey design process.

As we embark onto a new season, we're also entering a new era of Portland Trail Blazers basketball. As you may be aware, the Portland Trail Blazers have utilized the same home and away uniforms since the 2002-03 season and we think it may be time to take a fresh look at our team design elements that could possibly take effect for the 2015-16 season. Ultimately, we may decide, based on your feedback, that no change is necessary, but we want to explore the possibility and would like to get your feedback and comments. This is a decision we don't take lightly and very much want to reflect the opinions of our fans in whatever the final product is.

The survey asks fans which word(s) they prefer on the front -- Blazers, Trail Blazers, Portland, Rip City -- and whether popular elements like the pinwheel logo should be included. The survey also asks for the first word that come to mind when you think about the jerseys and solicits feedback about what makes Portland and Oregon unique.

Blazers president Chris McGowan told Blazersedge at Media Day that the Blazers would not wear short sleeve alternate jerseys this season.

A few years ago, Blazers.com put together this compilation of jersey designs from throughout the franchise's history.
