The Portland Trail Blazers announced Tuesday that an X-ray has confirmed that All-Star forward LaMarcus Aldridge is suffering from a right wrist sprain. The X-rays were otherwise negative.

Aldridge sat out Tuesday's practice to get the wrist checked out and is listed as "probable" to play against the Miami Heat on Thursday. Aldridge had 27 points, 10 rebounds and five assists in an overtime win over the Orlando Magic on Monday.

Aldridge, 27, has played in 32 of Portland's 34 games this season and is averaging 20.6 points, 8.4 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.3 blocks in 37.7 minutes per game.

Aldridge did not play in a Nov. 25 loss to the Brooklyn Nets with back spasms. Aldridge sat out a Dec. 20 win over the Denver Nuggets with a left ankle sprain.
