Steve Dykes-US PRESSWIRE

The Portland Trail Blazers announced Thursday that an MRI on the injured right wrist of forward Nicolas Batum came back negative. He is listed as probable for Friday's game against the Jazz in Utah. Batum left Thursday's practice early to get the wrist examined.

Batum said after Tuesday night's win over the Dallas Mavericks that the wrist has been bothering him for more than a week and that he did something during the game that made it feel worse. He finished with 10 points on four-for-14 shooting.

Notes from Tuesday...

He said his right wrist is bothering him and has been an issue for about ten days. He aggravated it during the first quarter and he said that it was affecting his shot.

Blazers coach Terry Stotts: "He was struggling shooting the ball, his wrist was bothering him, but he's a competitor."
