Portland Trail Blazers restricted free agent forward Nicolas Batum writes on Twitter that he is en route to Portland on Wednesday. To PDX Oregon! ------------------------------------ The Blazers face a 9 p.m. deadline on Wednesday to decide whether or not to match a 4-year, $46.5 million offer sheet extended to Batum by the Minnesota Timberwolves. All indications are that the Blazers will match the offer. The Timberwolves officially extended the offer on Sunday after weeks of reports and rumors. Batum said back in April that he was "99 percent" sure that the Blazers would match any offer made to him and the team's ownership and management has consistently referred to him as one of the roster's core pieces. The Blazers extended a qualifying offer to Batum back in June.
