Haynes: 6 Teams Contacted Blazers UFA G Jamal Crawford On July 1
Chris Haynes of CSNNW.com reports that the Boston Celtics, Indiana Pacers, Los Angeles Clippers, Philadelphia 76ers and Phoenix Suns contacted Portland Trail Blazers unrestricted free agent guard Jamal Crawford on July 1, the day that 2012 NBA free agency opened. Haynes added later on Twitter that the Minnesota Timberwolves also contacted Crawford.
Crawford decided not to pick up his player option for the 2012-13 season and said that he is seeking a multi-year contract offer after spending one season with the Blazers.
Crawford, 32, averaged 14.0 points, 3.2 assists and 2.0 rebounds in 26.9 minutes for the Blazers last season.
