Blazers Out Of Race For Rockets UFA G Goran Dragic?

Sports reports on Twitter that Houston Rockets unrestricted free agent point guard Goran Dragic must hold the starting job wherever he lands in free agency. ------------------------------- Whether guard Goran Dragic stays in Houston - or leaves for Phoenix, Toronto, or elsewhere - he needs to know he's the starter, sources say. ------------------------------- Ken Berger of CBSSports.com reports on Twitter that Dragic is looking for an eight-figure per year pay day. ------------------------------- League sources say free-agent PG Goran Dragic also is looking for a deal that starts in the $10M range. ------------------------------- Dragic, who has been linked to the Portland Trail Blazers in rumors for months, backed up Kyle Lowry for much of the 2011-12 season until Lowry missed time with a mysterious illness. Blazers GM Neil Olshey said that Portland selected a "franchise point guard" in Weber State's Damian Lillard during Thursday's 2012 NBA Draft. ------------------------------- Update: Joe Freeman of The Oregonian reports on Twitter that the Blazers "will no longer pursue" Dragic. ------------------------------- Dragic, 26, averaged 11.7 points, 5.3 assists and 2.5 rebounds in 26.5 minutes per game last season.
