Blazers F LaMarcus Aldridge Underwent Successful Hip Surgery

The Portland Trail Blazers announced on Thursday that forward LaMarcus Aldridge underwent successful surgery to repair a labral tear in his right hip. The release noted that the surgery was performed by Dr. Marc Philippon in Vail, Colo., with Blazers team Dr. Don Roberts present. The Blazers said that Aldridge "is expected to make a full recovery."

The Blazers announced that Aldridge would undergo the surgery back on April 12 and shut him down for the final eight games of the season. Aldridge said at the time that he expected to miss 2-4 months.

Aldridge, 26, averaged 21.7 points, 8.0 rebounds, 2.4 assists on 51.2 percent shooting in 36.3 minutes per game for the Blazers.
