The Dontonio Wingcast Episode 035

Presswire

One month and one day ago, Kevin Pelton of Basketball Prospectus and I resurrected our long lost podcast, The Dontonio Wingcast, after more than a year in hibernation. We decided to bring it back so that KP2 -- The World's No. 1 Nate McMillan Defender -- could back his favorite coach from calls for his job and tell everyone that point guard Raymond Felton just needed more time to work out the kinks.

Well, McMIllan was fired on Thursday, as Blazers president Larry Miller and Acting GM Chad Buchanan explained that he simply lost his locker room, and Felton is still Feltoning every chance he gets.

You knew I wasn't going to let Pelton off this hook. In a mildly confrontational 26-minute long podcast, we discuss the decision to fire McMIllan, the decision to keep Felton, the decisions to trade Gerald Wallace and Marcus Camby, the coming "rebuild" and a few other topics and side topics come to mind.

Mostly, I just tried to get KP2 to admit on the record that I was right during our last podcast. Oh, yeah, he called Felton a coach-killer. So that was fun.
